Lisa decided to become a chiropractor following her experience as a patient. She wanted to pursue her interest in the human body and had a mechanical way of thinking. After visiting a chiropractor for the first time in her 20s for neck pain, she realised that that’s what she wanted to become. It perfectly combined her interests and the care she received helped her immensely.
During Lisa’s 5 years of studying, she worked as a chiropractic assistant. The satisfaction and enjoyment of working to help patients confirmed her decision to become a chiropractor.
Lisa also works part-time as a disability support worker highlighting her love for people. She is often helping people with disabilities become more mobile by assisting them with rehabilitation plans set out by herself and also working with a physiotherapist. Lisa often includes strengthening and stretching exercises in her chiropractic treatment plans.
